How blessed I am to be born in the 21st Century

How blessed I am to live in the 21st Century

I’ve seen it all come
I’ve seen it all been made I’ve seen it all changing lives

It’s like it was yesterday I was when I was writing my dad a letter Yes! I had to find a pen and paper to talk to my dad

It’s like it was yesterday when the bicycle bell rung at our door step Yes! I used to hear the bell of the Post man working me up for school It’s like it was yesterday when I only made calls when I was home Yes! We used to only have phones fixed on some long cables

I remember having to walk miles just to find a book to read
I remember having to whistle whenever I wanted to take my date out
I remember those long hours we had to sit in a train
I remember how getting your research correct used to deserve an applause

In a blink of an eye
I’ve seen it all come
I’ve seen it all been made I’ve seen it all changing lives

The cell phone ambushed us
The internet lambasted us
The computer age came into existence Everything became easy for us

Cars move at a push of a button

My dad’s voice is a few digits away My date is a keypad away
My books are a few clicks away
Too bad the postman got sent away

How blessed I am to be born in the 21st century.
